About Us

Born out of a love for quality butcher's meat, The Meat Crusade was launched by family farming, butchery and meat wholesaler John Penny & Son.

Championing quality meat in a way that's never been done before, we'll be bringing the British meat trade into the 21st century. By demystifying the meat trade and offering a greater level of understanding of what goes on in quality operations, we aim to empower the Great British public to make more informed choices about the meat they buy.

To highlight the relationship between quality and taste - and to prove it needn't be the expensive option - we're asking people to try meat from their butcher's shop. We're confident the quality will speak for itself, making the trip to the local butcher well worth going that extra mile for.

What's more, through our exclusive new range of recipes, we'll be creating new and exciting ways of cooking with cost effective cuts and locally sourced ingredients to get the UK's tastebuds jumping for joy!

Show your support via our The Meat Crusade dedicated Facebook page and open your eyes to a brand new world of meatiness...
